Bronte & Jack

A small family wedding, a dog of honour, and a beautiful family tradition brought back to life.

I joined Bronte, her mum, sister and nieces at home on the morning of the wedding to capture those quiet getting ready moments before the day began. There was a lovely calm atmosphere throughout the morning as everyone helped Bronte prepare for the ceremony ahead.

When it was time to leave, Bronte was driven to Harrogate Registry Office by her dad in a beautiful black Range Rover, a detail that would become even more meaningful later in the day.

I arrived at the registry office just ahead of Bronte to capture Jack and their Dog of Honour, Astro, greeting guests as they arrived. Once everyone was safely inside, I sent Bronte a quick text to let her know the coast was clear before making her entrance.

The ceremony took place in the newly refurbished Byron Suite, a beautiful intimate space that seats up to 15 guests and is perfect for smaller ceremonies and elopements. Surrounded by their closest family, Bronte and Jack exchanged vows in a celebration that felt relaxed, personal and completely true to them.

Afterwards we headed into the gardens for family photographs and couples portraits. One of the most special moments of the day was recreating a photograph of Bronte's parents on their wedding day, with Bronte, Jack and Astro posing in front of the Range Rover. It was such a lovely way to honour family history while creating a new memory of their own.

Once photos were finished, we took a gentle walk across Harrogate's iconic Stray with Astro leading the way. The journey ended at The Mucky Duck, where family and friends were already gathering to celebrate. After capturing a few final moments, congratulations and details of the surroundings, it was time to leave everyone to enjoy the rest of the day together.

A simple, heartfelt celebration filled with family, tradition and a very good dog.
