Our couples shoots are not just for engagements! Perhaps you have a relationship milestone, pregnancy announcement, or just want some new photos for the mantel?
“Framed in the City”
This is the stuff I’m probably most known for and one of my favourite ways to shoot!
I love York and if you do too, this is such an easy yes. We usually start off really slow, wandering into town and probably stopping at one of my favourite coffee spots first. It’s a nice way to ease into things, have a proper chat, and for you to get used to me pointing a camera in your direction without it feeling like a big deal.
It also gives us space to talk about you properly as a couple and loosely plan a few spots we might head to, but I never like to over plan these. It always works better when we just follow the light, the atmosphere, and whatever feels right in the moment.
From there it turns into a bit of a photo walk around the city and hopefully you’ll relax enough to forget there’s even a camera there!

“Framed on Location”
These are for when you want a location that feels a bit more personal, or you just want to get out somewhere a little bit different together. It might be somewhere really meaningful to you like where you had your first date or a place you always end up walking together.
I’m always up for golden fields, lakes, quiet open spaces, anywhere with soft light and a bit of atmosphere. I get very excited about that kind of thing!
If you’re not totally sure where to go, I’ll help you figure it out. I’ve got a few spots I love and I’ll always try and suggest somewhere that feels right for you two rather than just somewhere that looks good on paper.
In the end it’s never really about the place anyway, it’s about you two in it and the way it feels when you’re there together.
